Welcome to Glenlivet Estate
Surrounded by high hills on all sides Glenlivet's landscapes range from deep river valleys through fertile farmland and wooded hillsides to high heather moorland with magnificent views across north eastern Scotland.
With only a third of the rainfall of the west coast and a more or less continental climate, Glenlivet is much drier than you might expect and relatively free of the voracious Highland midge.

Throughout the year a succession of vibrant colours provide inspiration for photographers and painters alike. Hillsides go gold as gorse blossoms in the spring. Wildflowers carpet meadows beside foaming burns in early summer. Moorlands turn purple in August as heather blooms. Autumn leaves clothe trees in crimson and yellow. Even winter provides a colorful covering of mosses and lichens for bare rocks and trees. |
Glenlivet Estate Information Centre The Information Centre, houses displays about the countryside, walks and wildlife of Glenlivet and how it is managed. It is open (free) throughout the year.
