The hotel boasts 54 en-suite bedrooms. Set over two sites each bedroom is tastefully decorated with colour television and tea and coffee making facilities. There are a variety of single, double and triple occupancy rooms and there are disabled facilities available. We even have a ground floor room with carer room attached.
Whether you reside in the Gordon or Richmond Hotel there are three dining areas with dishes to suit all tastes. The Cromdales Restaurant in the Gordon hotel offers an a la carte menu and changes regularly and its focus is using local game and fish produce. The Richmond Hotel and Grouses Nest however offer a more informal setting with traditional home cooked meals. We also offer a take-away service from the Grouses Nest.
Within the Gordon Hotel is a large function room suitable for private dinners and parties up to eighty people. With its own private bar and built in dance floor the function room is intimate enough to provide any atmosphere for any occasion.
The hotel is in glorious surroundings and is afforded spectacular views of the Cairngorms National Park. With the Lecht ski resort 4 miles away to the south and Grantown on Spey to the north it is a popular place to stay to visit the surrounding area. For the more active visitor the area can offer challenging walks, horse riding and salmon fishing on the Avon whilst others may enjoy a wander round the local museum, art gallery and the Tomintoul distillery. |
