Tomintoul - The Highest Village in the Highlands

Tomintoul is a perfect example of an 18th Scottish Highland planned village with a central square and many Georgian and Victorian buildings.

In the village there is a Museum, Art Galleries, Gift Shops, Restaurants, Malt Whisky Shop, Post Office, Adventure Play Ground, Bowling Club, Church and Chapel. A wide range of accommodation to suit all tastes is available including Hotels, B&B's, Self Catering Cottages and a Youth Hostel.

To the north lies beautiful Strathavon, to the east is the Forbidden College of Scalan, whilst to the west is the stunning Ailnack Gorge.
